I finally got to my wife!
SHE LIKES RIDING MY SCOOTER!!!! WOO HOO!!
I took her to a local private parking lot and she went for a spin. Granted, she topped out at 5 mph, but still! I am so proud of her for taking this step toward two wheels.
The only downside is, now she wants a pink Vespa!

Nuh,uh. Wait until she does the MSF BRC and she tells you wants her own Honda Rebel. Once my wife, the school teacher, got a taste there was no holding her back.
I'm not so sure. She's not confident with manual transmissions and refuses to drive cars with them. Plus, she likes the styling of scooters over the styling of motorbikes.

If you scroll down there's the perfect solution to your pink Vespa problem. Motofino has a decent reputation and the price isn't bad. I can vouch for the scooter as it's the same as mine except it seems to have 12" wheels which might make it a little quicker. GY6 engines when prepped properly are reliable and will serve you well until she decides she wants a People S 250
