Pretty cool Paul with only one quibble. "A vibrant subculture". As a devotee of scooters you see it that way and in the rest of the world that's so. Not in America. Amerivespa is the biggest scooter rally in America attracting between 600 and 900 attendees. Compare that to the nearly 875,000 bikers who attended this year's Sturgis Rally in South Dakota and it's not exactly vibrant. It gets worse. In Albany, New York this year The A Town Rumblers held their annual rally. Advertising it everywhere up and down the Northeast it had 50 people show up for the three day event.

I don't deny the fun of owning a scooter, I have three, but I also have three motorcycles. The bikes are all vibrant.....uh, vibrate.
Oh, it's definitely a much smaller subculture than exists in the motorcycle world, but it's there, even here in the States. There are even subdivisions like in the motorcycle world. Sure, we're fewer in number, but with most of us riding one- lingers, there's plenty of vibration to go around. 😁
Bah, that should read "one-lungers". Stupid IPad.
